Accepts payments in Bonchon wings and Trader Joe’s snacks (preferably the Pumpkin Joe-Joe’s, but I’m not terribly picky). Will edit articles and talk nonstop about [insert current Netflix binge here] in return. All sales are final; no refunds allowed.

A vault of secrets. You can tell her anything and everything and she’ll never breathe a word of it to anyone. Her secret? Everything goes in one ear and out the other. The only time she'll remember the secret is if you bring it up again. CAUTION: Do not expect a secret in return; she will only tell you about her recent cooking mishaps or direct you to her frog obsession, neither of which are secrets.

Originally coerced into joining The Spectrum by the previous Chief Layout Editors and has never really escaped… Will also never stop thinking about the most recent anime she watched, or her current favorite Trader Joe’s snack (which is also ideally what she’d be munching on during Layout Week). This hungry, hungry hippo aspires to eat dino nuggets.

Third year of Spectrum. Class of 2022. Joined freshman year with the promise of snacks. Applied for this position by paying the low price of my SSN to the Prince of Nigeria. Received said position through sheer dumb luck and lack of (qualified or really any) candidates. Bribes can come in the form of miniature plastic babies (must be very spike-able) and sanitary trader joes. Please ignore any zoom call or InDesign failures.

Class of 2021. Second year working for The Spectrum. Hobbies include reading, writing, scrapbooking, listening to Broadway musical soundtracks on repeat, and checking out the latest Netflix shows. Also enjoys aesthetic photography, going to the beach, and, of course, journalism.

Tries really hard to write deep articles, but mostly ends up having a life crisis in the process because thinking is difficult. Often found lying on the floor or on top of someone as a result of said life crisis (except not anymore because corona!). Also, never sits in a chair normally anyway.

Mainspread Editor

Rebecca is that editor who answers every question with a question. So the ultimate question is, should you ask her a question? Well, do you want the answer or do you want the way to find it? 🤔

Lost Children of The Zoom, REJOICE! SALVATION IS AT HAND! PhiloSOPHIE gives everyone a chance at REDEMPTION. All that is asked is that you offer her dried mangoes and friend her on Goodreads. May PhiloSOPHIE's rays shine upon you. DM for the meeting link. (can also be saved by giving anime or kdrama suggestions)

This will be my third year working on the Spectrum! I love being part of the Spectrum because I get to work with writers and review/edit some really fun and creative pieces in the Off Topic section. My favorite things include: parentheses, the zombie passive voice test, and reading Rita Skeeter's articles in the 'Daily Prophet.'

A bookworm who never gets time to read actual books. She could be a social person, but tends to burrow in her bed rather than going outside sometimes. Joined the Spectrum because she needed something to do on Thursdays, but ended up liking it enough to stay.
