Dunkin' Fall Menu

BY EDDY ZHAO '25

It’s a new school year, and with it comes the fall festivities we all know and love. Leaves are changing colors, the temperature is getting colder, and students at AB can be seen taking that familiar path through the woods to Dunkin’ during their free period. But even 315 Main Street, Acton is making changes for the fall. The tables are decorated with glossy ceramic pumpkins, Halloween posters appear on the walls, and most importantly, the menu has cycled back to that fall-themed fare we all know and love, albeit with some new items. Here are some of my favorite Dunkin’ fall menu items (and my least favorite.)

  1. Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich: During the fall, Dunkin’ often likes to roll out new flavors of bacon. This year, the Maple Sugar Bacon is back, included on both Wake-Up Wraps and sandwiches. I tried the sandwich, and it’s one of the better items on today’s list. The sandwich is composed of a croissant, fried egg, white cheddar cheese, and slices of maple sugar bacon. Overall, the bacon is sweet and crispy and perfectly paired with the egg, and the croissant is crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. However, it is also extremely flaky and guaranteed to create a mess wherever you eat it. Also, the cheese is often half-melted and greasy, and the sandwich itself is priced decently high at $4.99. For these reasons, I am rating the Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich 8/10.
  2. Pumpkin Spice Drink Flavoring: A very popular drink during the fall involves pumpkin spice. I had the chance to try the Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee at Dunkin’. While it’s not a latte, the most popular drink consisting of espresso and steamed milk, I think it emulates pumpkin spice-based espresso drinks. Overall, the taste was not great. I feel like although the flavor should be similar to that of a pumpkin, the flavor was far too nutty, which overwhelmingly overpowered the spice. If you like super nutty pumpkin spice drinks, you might want to try this, but it was not for me. 3/10
  3. Pumpkin Donuts and Munchkins: Dunkin’ has also rolled out pumpkin flavored donuts and Munchkins. I was able to try the Munchkins, but the donuts are made of the same stuff so I am including donuts for this item as well. I really enjoyed these. They had a similar texture and sweetness to your normal Munchkin but also a good balance of a fall-esque seasoning and pumpkin flavor. Ultimately these are one of my top picks for this season’s menu additions. 8/10
  4. Baker’s Choice: I’ve always been excited when the orange-frosted donut with a chocolate Munchkin on top comes back around for spooky season. However, after having tried ordering the Spider Donut twice and coming in only to be told that there were none resulted in two donuts labeled “baker’s choice.” These donuts, while not orange-frosted nor containing Munchkins, were frosted with creative decorations for Halloween. My first was a green zombie donut with candy eyes and a drizzle of black frosting for the mouth. The second was a purple-frosted graveyard-themed donut with candy bones and two candy gravestones with jelly on top to resemble… you know what. The flavor is a mystery until you bite in. I think both of mine were maple flavored, but you can’t tell because the frosting’s color varies. Unfortunately, I couldn’t try the Spider Donut, but the Baker’s Choice donuts were a decent substitute. Unfortunately, I had to pay the elevated price of the Spider Donut ($1.99) for these ones, though. For that reason, these donuts get a 5/10.
  5. Dunkin’ Wraps: These were my favorites of the new menu. These wraps come in two flavors of fillings in a lavash wrap: chorizo and egg or chicken and roasted pepper. The chorizo wrap has a spicy kick and comes with vegetables, beans, and a mildly spiced cheese sauce. The chorizo is great too, making this wrap my favorite of the two. The chicken wrap is also good, containing poblano peppers and cheese sauce as well. However, there is not that much to complement the chicken wrap and the whole thing is a salty, cheesy mess. Both wraps are EXTREMELY messy and the filling can get all over the place while you eat it, and they cost $4.99, which is expensive but maybe worth it because they are so good. 9/10

And those were all my favorite (and least favorite) menu items for the Dunkin’ fall season! My favorite items were the Maple Sugar Bacon sandwich and wraps. I also wanted to mention the rewards program offers for this month; I feel like Dunkin’ has been getting cheaper and cheaper with the rewards system lately. They used to give out offers for free drinks in the monthly offers page, but now we get $1 off a half dozen donuts and a $2 cold brew. At least while October lasts, coffees on Monday are free with a purchase. I typically just buy a $0.99 three-piece Munchkins for the best deal and walk out with my sweetened vanilla source of energy. I hope that next time you stop by at Dunkin’ during your free, this guide can serve as a useful source of information to decide what new items you will order.
