Letter from the Old EICS
BY EMILY XU '23 & ADI RAMAN '23
Greetings, Spectrumfolk,
It is we, Adi-das Xus, here with our final letter from the EICs. As we close out our time at The Spectrum, we’re left with happy memories of our youths in 152W, the legacies that we leave behind, and the destiny of our beloved paper (devoted readers will understand our allusions to our former Mainspread themes). From the legacy of Mr. Twenty Dollar bill to the power of youth voters in the 2022 midterm elections, our writers, editors, and Chief Staff have come together to elevate important voices in our community. We’ve also covered the important stuff, too, like the morning routines of desserts and a hierarchy of New England style homes. We feel comfortable handing The Spectrum off to your new EICs—we know that Kéra and Anusha will do big things with The Spectrum (like un-italicizing The Spectrum, maybe). In all seriousness, though, keep your eyes peeled for bigger and brighter things in our dear newspaper’s future, and stay curious! Keep reading, and have a nice summer, Spectrumfolk. Love, Adi and Emily |
