Love Doc: Spring Cleaning

Listen, I get it. The spring stuffies might have been clogging up your relationship for a while, but it's time to clear them out. After all, isn’t that what spring cleaning is all about? Here are some tips and tricks to jumpstart your relationship during the summer:

1. Get “We’re Not Really Strangers: Couples Edition.” This game is a lifesaver for every type of romantic relationship. I promise you that the whole way through, there will be tears, laughter, smiles, and deep looks of thoughtfulness. This is a gamechanger for couples that are struggling with getting their emotions out or have trouble communicating. 
   
2. Have more 1-to-1 dates. The movie dates are fun some of the time, but every once in a while, sprinkle in some partner-journaling or another face-to-face activity to really get those communications skills flowing. From my extensive experience ;) There is nothing more common in broken relationships than under communication or miscommunication. This is your chance to let your significant other into your inner feelings, while still having it count as a date-night!
   
3. Get your sibling or best friend to be a photographer and have a spring-time couple’s photoshoot! These are so cute to look back at, and the process of getting them done can be just the thing y’all need to get out of the funk. Gazing into each other’s eyes and purposefully holding hands will help those sparks fly once more.
