Letter from the EIC
BY ANUSHA SENAPATI '24 & KÉRA MATTHEWS '24
Hey friends,
New year, new you? While currently in the midst of our unpredictable Winter Wonderland, what better way to celebrate than making some concrete, yet achievable goals for 2024? Goal #1: Develop a healthy mindset. Speak your affirmations and create a plan, always. We recommend investing in a planner (physical or digital are both fine), or as coined by Kéra, a Day Designer. If a lengthy to-do list isn't your jam, then perhaps manifestations will do the job. But above all, remember one thing: believe in your capabilities. Winter can be a tiring season for many, but keep going! We (Anusha and Kéra), along with our entire Spectrum crew, have your back :). Goal #2: Reflect on the happenings around you. Take a looksie into the former-Kmart's renovations or read teacher perspectives. Explore AB's small town appeal from an outside, you'll find updates in our News articles. If your thing isn't news, however, we have plenty of other things to pique your interest. For example, if you are feeling philosophical, our Mainspread theme. Individuality, might be for you. Reflect on the societal struggles we face and how your travel plans could be improved. Or you could forget all of that, get a new winter recipe, and move on. Goal #3: Join Speccy! We like to believe we're the perfect balance of work, play, and munch. Keep n eye out for winter workshops and edgy editing in the weeks to come. Or, look for an enthralling, bewitching, and enchanting chat with your lovely EICs. Take the season by (snow) storms, Késha |
