Chief Staff Resolutions
CHIEF STAFF
It’s that time of year again, when millions of people are sucked into the misleading whirlpool of excitement that comes with the start of a new year, making promises to themselves they know full well they will not see through. Gym membership numbers skyrocket, healthy eating blogs see an influx of subscribers, and very few people make it past the first month. Anyways, here are our chief staff’s resolutions for the new year!
Adi ’23 Editor-in-Chief I’d like to drink less water so I don’t have to use the bathroom during the five-minute passing time between each period. Also stop dropping every TV show halfway through. Emily ’23 Editor-in-Chief Go outside more. Sure, in a half-sarcastic, “I-need-to-touch-grass” type of way, but, mostly, to take advantage of Acton’s small-town natural charm. Sam ’23 News Editor Experiment with new hobbies. Maybe I’ll learn to cook something more than pasta. Grace ’23 Op-Ed Editor Finish the 1,000 piece puzzle that I received for Christmas. Perhaps I will also unpuzzle why college applications are so arbitrary while I fit the pieces together... Anusha ’24 Mainspread Editor Everything and anything self care! ’Tis the year to prioritize myself. Sophia ’24 Bits Editor Commit to a healthier sleep routine! It would be wonderful to not be half asleep in my first period class. Kéra ’24 Chief Copy Editor Learn to crochet in style. And I can’t forget to replace crying with journaling as my 2023 coping mechanism! Julia ’23 Chief Copy Editor Spend less money at Starbucks. I started the year hating the taste of coffee, and now I’m going almost every free period I have, oops. Avni ’23 Reporting Team Leader To procrastinate less! Or, maybe I’ll do that next year... Phoebe ’23 Chief Layout Editor Bake more! My friends did not gift me an entire stand mixer for nothing. And, try new recipes: while my matcha cookies are always going to be a hit, I’d love to master macarons and other exquisite desserts. Aisha ’23 Chief Layout Editor Crochet more! My half-finished granny squares and balls of yarn have been sitting untouched for too long. Catherine ’23 Honorary Mascot Read outside of school! I can’t keep buying new books that pile up on my floor. |
